Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy is one of the oldest higher education medical school for studying MBBS in Ukraine. Its history began in the year 1916. It is having the maximum number of accreditation among all the universities of Ukraine. It has in total 7 faculties amongst which the faculty of general medicine is the oldest faculty.

There are about 648 teachers works in Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy among them 98 teachers are doctors of Medical Sciences, 359 are candidates of Medical Sciences, 1 is academician of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 9 State Prize Winner of Ukraine and Russia, 5 honors doctors of Ukraine and many more well-known names.

The programs in Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy are available in three different languages: English, Russian and Ukrainian languages. From its existence, it has trained near about 49000 doctors, physicians and nurse bachelors. It is considered as one of best medical college with highest (4th) numbers of accreditations.

Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy has total 8 buildings in which there are about 608 classrooms, offices and laboratory. It has 7 hostels in which currently 2849 students are living in the Academy’s hostels. It also has sports complex which includes gaming, fencing, fitness room, table tennis hall, wrestling, swimming pool, shooting gallery, with tennis courts.

It provides quality of education along with vivarium, a sanatorium, country sports camp for 250 people, academic library with electronic devices, techno center and two museums for students. The staff of Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy is well qualified and holds higher degrees in their respective fields.

From 1996, Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy is headed by the member of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor G.V. Dzyak. Pertseva Tetyana Oleksiivna (Corresponding Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor) has been elected as the rector of the Academy.

In Dnipropetrovsk, the 28 hospitals of the city has 42 clinical department of Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy. Further, the beds used by the clinical department of the Academy is near about 15000.

At present, 4500 scholars are studying in Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy with almost 700 international students from 36 other countries like Jordan, Syria, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Palestine, China, Morocco, Kenya, etc. taking training in different specialties. The first batch of foreign physicians graduated from the university is in the year 1990. It has trained about 1000 international specialists from 30 foreign countries.

The scientists of Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy participate in international congress and symposia. Moreover, the performance of graduates was 100%. Some of them are well known personalities of the world. It also published 3 academic scientific journals i.e. “Medical Perspectives”, “Urology” and “Dermatology, Cosmetology, sexual pathology”.

Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy is also ranked by the World Health Organization (WHO). It has become the state establishment in the year 2015 by the Health Ministry of Ukraine. It has provide excellent education in MBBS/medicine in Ukraine. Apart from this, the admission process of the Academy is easy as compared to others.

Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy was the first academy who actively introduce Krok assessment system which is also used in America and is called Step. Due to the results of Krok testing system, the academy has occupied the major place among the Universities of Ukraine.

Kirovohrad city, also known as Kropyvnytsky, is the administrative center of the Kirovograd Oblast. It is an industrial and cultural hub of the Kirovohrad Oblast. In the year 2005, its population is near about 2.9 million people. The city has various beautiful sites which includes museums, parks and green areas. The city has one of the oldest church known as Transfiguration Cathedral.  It is also the home of various tourist attractions such as Resurrection Church, Building of theological seminary and St. Theodore Church, Regional historical museum, Kruti skhody Art gallery, Trinity Monastery in Chernihiv, etc.

The climate of the city is humid continental with cold, cloudy and snowy winters and warm and sunny summers. It has its own international airport namely Chernihiv Shestovitsa Airport which connects the city with the rest of the world. The main public transport of the city is buses and trolleybuses. The city has one of the main railway and highway junction of Ukraine. Industries related to chemical, light, food, building materials, woodworking are one of the leading industries of the local economy. Besides this, tourism is one of the main directions of the city for socio-economic development.
